Newmarket Brocante this Sunday

We've been getting a great response to the blog so far, so thanks for all your support. Aside from burst pipes flooding the place and distracting us from getting some more work done, we are well on the way to being ready for this Sunday's Brocante Market (see newmarketbrocante.com). It is on from 11am until 5pm in New Market Square - same place as the organic co-op in the Coombe. So why not drop by and enjoy some live music, coffee, great food and maybe pick up a bargain or two ? We've got some fab new pieces including a couple of funky orange velvet and chrome swivel chairs. They're being reupholstered tomorrow so we'll get some photos up asap.
We are trying to decide what else to bring along. Let us know if you have any requests! We will also have some lampshades. They are covered with marimekko fabric designed by one of our favourite designers, Maija Isola. The one in the photos here is called Tansu and was designed in 1960. Timeless I think. We have 9inch and 14inch lampshades for sale which can be used as ceiling light shades or with a lamp base. The bases in the photos are sold. I made them myself and will be making some more soon.
